This is what Jerrin looked like when the tournament was over and he caught his breath. He caught the entire game in the 90 degree weather so he was pretty tired, but this photo is priceless. He was soooo proud of what he and his team had accomplished.
A great photo (taken by our friend Kristen Hackmann) of our favorite catcher.
He really liked to be the catcher for his team, just ask him. Each game he became a little bit better, stronger, and not so scared of the ball that was flying in at him. He only closed his eyes for some of the pitches by the end of the year, instead of all of them like in the beginning.
And then there was hitting, this he really needed to work at it.
AT the tournament however, he connected with a couple balls,
got on base,
and even hit in a couple of RBI's to add to the scoreboard.
Way to go Jerrin!
Congratulations to Jerrin, his coaches Aaron and Matt, and the rest of the Casselton Reds Pee Wee Team on their 3rd Place finish this weekend. You all played very hard and were great sports. We are all very proud of each and every one of you!!!!!
Thank you coaches for a great year full of lessons and fundamentals. You are the best!!!
This photo includes all but one of the boys (he got sick with the flu the night before) that were involved in Casselton's Pee Wee Baseball program this summer. These boys are all going to be fourth or fifth graders this fall. I believe there are 32 of them.
The Cubs(blue) took first place,
The Reds (red) took third place,
The Rockies (purple) took fourth place.
Not bad for the future of baseball in Casselton.
Yay for baseball! Bigger YAY for having nephews that LOVE to play baseball!!! Even BIGGER YAY for nephews that are getting better and better at baseball!!!!!! Way to go, Bug! Love you!
