Brownie Bridging Ceremony!

She has moved from a Daisy to a Brownie and no I am not talking about a flower to a dessert. Tonight for the first time, Gracie and I took part in her very first Girl Scouts Bridging Ceremony and neither of us really knew what that meant or what to expect for the evening. All we knew is that a bridging ceremony takes place when a Girl Scout is ready to move onto the next level; in this case, it was from a Daisy to a Brownie.

After walking across the bridge, Gracie was given her pin and certificate. Her pin is put on upside down at first. When the girl goes out and does three good deeds, the pin is then turned the right way from their parent.

After the Diasy walks across the Bridge, the Brownies are waiting to welcome her into the new Brownie group.

Way to go Gracie! It has been so much fun to watch you grow and mature into a young lady. Mom has also enjoyed be able to partake in some of your fun activities. I am excited to get more involved with you next year and watch you meet you new goals.
