As for the agenda of our day.... it went a bit like this...
(I stole this post from Jen's of course and just tweaked it to fit. She put everything together so well.)
Church.... listening to my sister in law, Jen sing with my mother and father in law
Brunch at the Holiday Inn buffet with Grandma Bobbie, and Grandpa, and all of our own clan. We had yummy food, and good conversation. The kiddos were even cooperative! (Amazing what a little hand-held DS can do, right?) :)
After just a bit of shopping, Gracie, Amy, and Jen surprised Mommy Erin and Gramma Colleen with pedicures... GIRLS ONLY!
We each got our legs massaged, our feet soaked and softened, and our toes tinted in beautiful, bright summer shades!
We enjoyed some relaxation and girl talk.
And in the end, our toes seemed to be a prettier picture than our faces, apparently!
Girl time wouldn't be girl time in the Baumgarten family without some ICE CREAM! So, before we left Fargo, we visited the DQ DriveThru! Yum! Blizzards for all! (Except Jen - She chose a chocolate-dipped cone!)
When we left Fargo, we headed to "The Farm" for some more fun. First, there were lots of presents to open....
The kids worked really hard on decorating mommy's card JUST RIGHT.
Gramma Colleen sure did love her new cookie jar. Is it weird that she was just as excited to see the Everson family on it as she would have been to see her own biological kiddos on it? Hmm....
Finally, it wouldn't have been a night at "The Farm" without some card playing. A bit of "Garbage" in the kitchen, between daddy,Gramma Colleen, Gracie, and Great Gramma.
And some good ol' Hand-n-Foot in the dining room... Jer and Jen took on Me and Papa Dan, and Great Papa and Amy. Oh - and Jay was our audience... he colored us very nice pictures on our score pad!
Overall, I think it was a successful Mother's Day. THank you to all of the moms that I spent the day with. Thank you to Jen and Amy for setting up our secret girl time too, it was much appreciated. I love you both!
I only wish that I could've been in two places at one time and get to spend the day with MY MOM. Next year no excues from either of us and we will spend it together mom. I love you too.
